El proceso

What does a foreign company need to operate in Bolivia?

Whether you open a branch or incorporate a new entity, the regulatory path is the same — and Otium manages every step.

01

Legal structure decision

Branch or new entity (SRL/SA). We assess your activity, partners and goals to recommend the right structure.

02

Document apostille & translation

Foreign corporate documents (articles, powers of attorney) must be apostilled and translated. We coordinate the entire process.

03

Inscripción en SEPREC

Commercial registry with the Plurinational Service of Commerce Registry. Mandatory before any other step.

04

NIT — Tax ID (SIN)

Registration with Bolivia's National Tax Service, including selection of the applicable tax regime.

05

Habilitación de facturación electrónica

Bolivia uses mandatory electronic invoicing. We set up your system so you can bill from day one.

06

Ongoing compliance

Monthly VAT (IVA), corporate tax (IUE), payroll (AFP/CNS) and financial reporting — managed by our team.
